Dear Parents,
My name is Robin Mathis and I am very excited to start my fifth year at
Daarul Uloom. My own children are Amber who is 28 and very familiar to
most incoming second graders and Emma who is 18 and starting her first
year at Penn Foster this year. Emma hopes to become a vet tech some day. I also became a grandma two summers ago to the most beautiful baby ever--Miss Maylee Grace (see above).
I graduated from Bradley University in May, 2005 with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in science. I began working in District 150 as a science prep teacher and then moved to teaching language arts. I have also taught Kindergarten and First Grade. I stayed in the district for ten years before coming to DU.
I am looking forward to having your child in my classroom and exploring
all there is to learn in second grade with him/her. I am here to help
your child become the best he/she can be. It is a partnership between the
parents and the teacher which creates the best possible outcome. Please
do not ever hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Robin E. Mathis
